He is a co-founder of Combatants for Peace, an organization that brings together former Israeli and Palestinian combatants to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Rami Elhanan is an Israeli peace activist who lost his 14-year-old daughter, Smadar, in a suicide bombing in Jerusalem in 1997. Following this devastating event, Rami joined the Parents Circle-Families Forum, an organization of bereaved families from both sides of the conflict dedicated to promoting reconciliation and non-violence. Rami’s work highlights the human cost of the conflict and the urgent need for peace.
